Andrew Smith, director of Aberdeen Business Network, said: “Jessie is a great addition to the business and brings with her a wealth of skills and experience which will be a great asset as we continue to grow.

“With more than 5,000 active members on our online community it is vital that they have someone they know they can speak to about any technical queries or about how to make the most of the service we offer and Jessie is extremely approachable and always happy to help.

“She has some fantastic ideas about how to take the business forward and I look forward to these bearing fruit in the coming months.”

Jessie said: “My main tasks within the business are to grow our social media presence as well as finding new ways of encouraging member interaction on our website.

“I am also one of the main points of contact for members who have questions about our online business community and can give advice on how to get the most from their membership.”

ABN Community is Scotland’s largest independent online business community – likened to the North-east’s answer to LinkedIn.

It has brought together many small and large organisations within Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire to develop their skills and expand their network.

Since launching in 2008 ABN has helped local enterprises expand with business worth an estimated £9million won through its website and networking events.
