Aberdeen business networking firm ABN has celebrated another successful 12 months with its end-of-year awards ceremony.

The awards, held at 8848 Restaurant in Aberdeen, celebrated the success of ABN members. ABN has nearly 7,000 online members and holds monthly networking events to help companies win more business.

The past 12 months have been successful for the ABN Community, with membership currently standing at 6,989 members. More than £24m worth of business has been won through ABN since it was established in 2008 – with £3m generated in the past year.

Additionally, the networking group’s client base has risen from 282 companies and organisations in 2020 to 345 this year, with its Ten sales intel groups also increasing from 6 groups to 10 groups with 100 members in total.

Siobhan Jaffray, of SJ Nutrition, claimed the title of both Best Online member and Best Overall member.

Karen O’Brien, of Taffy Tots Clothing, was named Best Contact Builder; James Allan, of creative agency Flux, picked up the Best Ten Group Member, while Darren Aggasild, of Rose Recruitment, won the Best Networker award.

Andrew Smith, founder and director, Aberdeen Business Network (ABN), said: “The annual awards event gives everyone the opportunity to celebrate achievements over the past year. The ceremony was a great way to end the year. A huge well done to all the winners.”

ABN saw its in-person networking events return in September 2021, and 16 face-to-face networking events are scheduled for 2022.

In addition, Jessie Crawley has been promoted from part-time online manager to full-time ABN network manager to facilitate further growth in 2022 and beyond.
